<p>&#8220;Zach- I am a 100% disabled vet.  I have been a past high school wrestling coach and wrestler.  I was injured in Iraq back in 2003<br />
and since then have been helping my son with his desire to wrestle.</p>
<p>I am limited on what I can do with and for him until I found your website.</p>
<p>I utilized your you-tube free videos this past summer and turned my sons strength around.  He has packed on pure muscle strength and maintained a very lean body.  I now need specific training and reps.</p>
<p>That is why I have decided to purchase this program.</p>
<p>I have seen what your free stuff can do, now we are going to maximize our results.</p>
<p style="text-align: left;">My son is an 8th grader this year and competes with our high school wrestlers in practice.</p>

<p>I&#8217;m Steven B, A senior at Voorhees High School in Glen Gardner, New Jersey.</p>
<p>The season just started last week and I&#8217;m loving every damn minute of it.</p>
<p>After following just the fr-ee workouts you show and all the challenges you send, I felt no need to cut weight this year and I&#8217;m still overpowering kids my own weight and bigger.</p>
<p>I certified for 152 and I practice with my team&#8217;s 170 and 182 pounders just so I can wrestle someone with equal strength. I was recently reunited with one of my coaches from when I was wrestling in the youth program and he agreed to drill with me one practice.</p>
<p><strong>After about an hour of hand fighting and drilling shots, he takes one look at me,<span style="color: #ff0000;"> tells me I have &#8220;bear strength&#8221;</span> and sits down on the side of the mat exhausted.</strong></p>
<p>After a few more hours of drilling, running and weightlifting, our coach has the team finish with 5 ropes, up and down, nothing fancy. The rest of my team that hasn&#8217;t been following an off season workout program and if they have, it fails to be anywhere near as successful as yours.</p>
<p>They are struggling to finish their sets of ropes while I finish 10 ropes with no legs. My old coach comes up to me, shakes me hand,<br />
and tells me I&#8217;m not normal and actually asked me if I was on any performance enhancers because he couldn&#8217;t believe the chubby kid who used to wrestle for him turned into me.</p>
<p>I just wanted to express my sincere thanks for taking the time out of your day to offer me even the smallest amount of training.<br />

<p><strong>Unless you have never lost a wrestling match, you gotta pay close attention to these 3 wrestling workout tips:</strong></p>
<p><strong>- Avoid complex and complicated lifts unless you have an expert coach.</strong> I&#8217;ve seen high school wrestlers perform the olympic lifts. I&#8217;ve seen college wrestlers perform the o lifts as well. 99% of the time the technique is pure shit. Because the technique is so poor, the results are lackluster. In addition, precious training energy is wasted. If you&#8217;re gonna use the o lifts then commit to the technique the same way you commit to learning your wrestling technique to the best of your ability.</p>
<p>If you&#8217;re a wrestling coach and don&#8217;t know how to o lift yourself, then don&#8217;t hurt your wrestlers by making them perform these o lifts the WRONG way, increasing their chances for injury.</p>
<p><strong>- Focus on quality over quantity with your wrestling workouts.</strong> I used to train 6 &#8211; 7 days a week, some of them were double sessions. The workouts had lots of quantity, not enough quality. I chose the wrong exercises and the results killed my opportunity to become a BEAST on the mat. If you&#8217;re using the wrong exercises and the wrong training system you&#8217;re gonna waste precious energy and time that could be used in better ways.</p>
<p><strong>- Change your program off season and in season.</strong> There are certain lifts that we avoid BIG time in season yet off season we&#8217;re fine with them. I&#8217;ve seen wrestlers forced into workouts by coaches and these workouts end up making the wrestler fatigued, weaker, slower and in a state of constant soreness. In the end, this is often times the BIG reason why a wrestler is injured or does not reach his true potential.</p>
<p><strong>The wrong workouts will severely handicap your chances of being All State / All American. </strong></p>
<p><strong>Start studying and learning how you can use workouts that are gonna give you maximum results with minimal time.</strong></p>
<p>From there, use your extra time to focus on recovery, which is one of the most crucial aspects to your wrestling success.</p>

<p>- Perform the workout AFAP (as fast as possible)</p>
<p>- Perform 15 reps, 10 reps, 5 reps of each exercise:</p>
<p>A) Sandbag Shoulder x 15, 10, 5</p>
<p>B) pull ups x 15, 10, 5</p>
<p>When you&#8217;re done, you can rest 5 minutes while performing recovery work / soft tissue work and call it a day or you can finish off with some extra training.</p>

<p>Each wrestling workout we do for our high school wrestlers is a combination of strength and power. The conditioning gets attacked as well, but, not as much as strength &amp; power, let me tell you why&#8230;.</p>
<p>The majority of our wrestlers are on the mat 2 &#8211; 4 x a week in the off season, so they get plenty of conditioning from speed drills and live wrestling while at their wrestling club. We focus on what they are weak at, and transform their weak areas into strong points. This is where our wrestlers get the edge.</p>
<p>Other wrestling workouts are almost purely focused on conditioning, which does little to no good for improving a wrestlers strength and power.</p>
<p>On the flip side: if you increase a wrestlers overall strength and power, this alone will improve their conditioning on the mat. This doesn&#8217;t mean we skip wrestling conditioning, I am simply making a point as to what helps these wrestlers get the edge, you&#8217;ll experience the same success when you <strong>follow <span style="color: #ff0000;"><a title="workouts that win " href="http://workoutsthatwin.com" target="_blank">Workouts That WIN</a> or <a title="train to pin" href="http://traintopin.com" target="_blank">T2P.</a></span></strong></p>

<p><strong>I STILL remember my high school wrestling coach saying these words: &#8220;Legs are your foundation! If you wanna be as strong as a house ya gotta build the foundation!&#8221;</strong></p>
<p>VERY True!</p>
<p>This fires me up, as a few weeks ago, one of the best wrestlers in the state was at my gym and couldn&#8217;t perform a bodyweight squat properly&#8230;. and this kid is getting private instruction in &#8220;working out&#8221; elsewhere.</p>
<p>Kids deserve the best&#8230;. this means coaches need to educate themselves on proper training, proper technique, etc.</p>
<p>It also means Coaches MUST enforce proper technique and not sacrifice technique for anything else. Without proper technique the gains simply won&#8217;t come.</p>

<p>I&#8217;m STILL fired up after seeing this kid unable to perform a bodyweight squat correctly AND he gets private coaching from a &#8220;Coach&#8221;. Pisses me&#8230;. Fires me UP!</p>
<p>This is why I always tell people, gyms might look the same but the Coaching makes ALL the difference. Just because I own a Football doesn&#8217;t mean I can coach the team!</p>

<p>Let me break it down&#8230;..</p>
<p>The clean &amp; press is a full body lift, hitting the legs and upper body intensely. At the top, holding the weight overhead develops trunk stability and core strength for the wrestler.</p>
<p>The weight can be lighter and perform for speed / power, or use a heavier sandbag and focus on wrestling strength.</p>
<p>Use of a sandbag make the clean and press a grip intensive movement, but you can use dumbbells or one dumbbell, 1 or 2 kettlebells, a barbell and even a strongman log or stone &#8211; we&#8217;ve used them ALL!</p>
<p>The Rope Climb &#8211; ahhhhhh, an OLD wrestling workout standby, yet I know some D1 colleges don&#8217;t even have ropes hanging!! And, in MANY elementary, middle and high schools, the ropes have been removed due to liability.</p>
<p>What a horrible shame!!??</p>
<p>To build up to rope climbing you must build up your pull up strength. The rope is also a tremendous grip strength exercise for the wrestler, critical to wrestling success.</p>
<p>The rope climb is also VERY economical, meaning, you get a LOT of return for a short amount of work. Be warned though, too much rope climbing will wreak havoc on your elbows and biceps, so get a few sets in and call it a day, in season, be even more weary and don&#8217;t overtrain.</p>
